Why converge
Discoveries start with what came before. Across disciplines, institutions, and communities, people are solving connected problems. Ideas run in parallel. Tools are rebuilt. Knowledge stops where the next idea could start.
This June, join us in Montreal for Convergence, a gathering for people across science to meet, exchange ideas, and find the connections that move their work forward: different perspectives, one place to bring them together.
The next questions
Converge on the next questions in science.
- AI is changing how research is done.
- New publishing models are changing how it moves.
- Infrastructure is changing who can use it.
- Funders are rethinking what gets rewarded.
- Researchers are questioning what counts as contribution in the first place.

Have a question the field is avoiding? A project worth pulling apart? Bring something to the room.

Who is convening
Convened by people already building open science.
Convergence is being built with the people who will be there. It is convened by two initiatives working to make research more collaborative and open, and it is open to anyone who shares that aim.
